My name is CJ, and I love teaching the 2-year-olds. I have a Master's Degree in Education from Loyola and have over twenty years of teaching experience. In addition to being a classroom teacher, I also enjoy tutoring. In my free time, I enjoy biking, gardening, going on hikes, and spending time with my family. I married my husband Jay over twenty years ago. Together we have three children. I work with the most amazing, motivating and supportive set of professionals here at the Early Learning Center. Our collaboration times are inspiring and I am looking forward to another rewarding year here at the Early Learning Center!
My name is Kathy, and I started working at the Glencoe Park District in 2013. I love teaching the 2-year-olds and watching the children as they learn and take in information. I have raised three children of my own and have been married to my husband Gary for over 25 years. When I am not spending time at the Early Learning Center, I love to travel with my family to our lake house in Wisconsin. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to work with your child!
My name is Jennifer. I am the mother of three grown children and have lived in Glencoe with my husband for over twenty years. I started working at the Park District in 2005. In addition to teaching the 2-year-old classes, I have also worked in Children's Circle, Panda Camp, and helped teach enrichment classes. My passion is teaching, inspiring and challenging children to love learning. I have a Master's Degree in Education. I'm also extremely proud to share that I volunteer for both PAWS and the North Shore Exchange here in Glencoe. Get ready for meaningful activities, experiences and fun in the 2's!
3 and 4-Year-Old Multi-Age Teacher
My name is Pat, and I have been working at the Park District for over 30 years. I have spent the last 25 years teaching preschool at the Early Learning Center. My experiences include after-school programs, summer camps, 2-year-old preschool, 3-year-old preschool, and I am currently teaching the 3 and 4-Year-Old Multi-Age class. I became a part of the preschool programs when my first child started preschool. I now have grandchildren in the programs. Over the last 38 years, all but one of my seven grandchildren and three children attended preschool and camps at the Glencoe Park District. I enjoy spending my days being part of the wonder of being a preschooler. Each day is a new adventure!
3 and 4-Year-Old Multi-Age and 4-Year-Old Teacher
My name is Jackie, and I am a graduate of Loyola University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with additional Early Childhood coursework from Oakton Community College. I began working with children as an assistant in District 21 and became very involved as a parent with PTO. This sparked my interest in working with children. I have been teaching 3- and 4-year-olds here at the Early Learning Center for the past thirteen years. I have also taught the 2’s and worked with many of the preschool camp programs. I enjoy walking my dogs, yoga, and reading in my free time. I live in Arlington Heights with my husband Steve, daughter Natalie and niece Sabrina. My daughter Alyssa is married and lives nearby with her husband. I relish the time I spend with my family. My experience at Glencoe Park District has been filled with love, creativity, and pure enjoyment of being a part of so many children’s lives.
My name is Natalie, and I started working at the Glencoe Park District in 2013. My experiences include Teddy Bear camp, substitute teaching, and I am currently teaching the 3’s. Prior to joining the staff, I worked as both a nanny and at a daycare center. I attended the University of Iowa where I received degrees in Journalism and Mass Communication and English. I have taken additional courses in Early Childhood. I live in Glencoe with my three young children, my loving husband, and a dog named Bernie. In my free time I enjoy running and spending time with my children. I can dance and juggle, but not at the same time!
I have been at the Park District for over 35 years! My career at the Park District began when I started working part-time at the front desk. As my own children grew, I was able to teach a few classes: Introduction to the Arts, Kiddie Cooking and Kinder Collage. I have had many other preschool experiences at the Park District, including summer camps, 3-year-old preschool, and I am currently teaching the morning 4’s. In my free time I love to read, walk, and make jewelry. Since my own children are now grown and my four grandchildren live out of town, I get to spend time with your children, which is incredibly rewarding.
My name is Bobbie, and I have had the pleasure of teaching at the Glencoe Park District for over thirty years. I received my degree from the University of Wisconsin and have special training in Early Childhood Development and Speech Therapy. Prior to joining the Park District, I worked as a speech therapist with mentally challenged children and adults. I am married, with two sons and four grandchildren. My hobbies include tennis, golf, reading, and watching my grandchildren. I love to incorporate plays, art, and music in my curriculum. My job makes me smile and laugh every day. I look forward to a great year teaching your children.
